"I actually became a Realtor because my hairdresser was going to school to get her real estate license and she talked me into joining her. I am so glad I did. That was in 1978 and it is the best career choice I could have made.
The thing I like best about being a Realtor is helping customers find the perfect home or building to suit their needs. What I like best about being a Realtor HERE is being able to represent to people moving into this area that they have found the FRIENDLIEST place in the world to live, a place where people truly are neighbors.
Opening my own business came about because a Broker with whom I was licensed wanted to relocate to the West Coast and talked me into buying his building/office. I am a long time member of the National Association of Realtors and the Missouri Association of Realtors and served as President of the Cape Girardeau Multi-list. I am a life member of the "Million Dollar Club" for sales in excess of one million dollars per year.
I take pride in having maintained my independent company these many years. I work hard for my sellers and buyers. I have helped many buyers and sellers with multiple sales/purchases. I firmly believe that if you treat others as you wish to be treated, you always win.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, I worked as a bookkeeper, secretary and even installed wallpaper professionally. I graduated Valedictorian of my class in 1963 from Shawnee High School. Ever heard of Ancell, Missouri? That's where I was born in 1945 (now Scott City).
I have bragging rights to the best husband in the world, my husband Louis, to whom I've been married to since 1971, two children of whom I am proud, (Holly and Steve) five wonderful grandchildren and four great grandchildren. I have truly been blessed."
